We believe that God created men and women to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God’s saving grace to end our separation from God. Salvation comes only through God’s grace-not human effort-and must be received personally by repentance and faith. We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplished salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between people and God. He will return to earth to consummate history.
Our prayer for every time we gather is that you would feel welcomed and loved. We want you to leave our gathering amazed at God’s amazing love expressed through the finished work of Jesus Christ. If you don’t remember anything when you leave our gathering except how amazingly awesome Jesus is, we view that as a huge success!
THE GRACE OF GOD
God is the creator of the universe and giver of all that is good. God is the Savior—known boldly and intimately in Jesus and his life, death, and resurrection—who shows us how to live and love. God is the Spirit who enables us to make a difference in our world and in the lives of others.
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ritual, work, or any other activity is required in order to be saved. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are thus secure in Christ forever.
